Counting your weeks

How does Nido count weeks?

Nido counts from the first day of your last period, the way doctors and midwives do. Your age is shown as completed weeks plus days: "Week 14 · Day 4" means 14 full weeks and 4 days. The same number appears everywhere in the app — on Home, the timeline, the week details and the widgets.

If you give Nido your due date or your conception date instead, it works out the first day of your last period from it.

What is France mode (SA)?

In France, pregnancies are counted in semaines d'aménorrhée (SA). In Nido's Settings, under Counting, pick the "SA" option and Nido shows "14 SA + 4" and uses the French due date (the DPA), which falls at 41 SA instead of 40 weeks. The French trimesters and months are used too. You can switch modes at any time.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

On your device. There is no account and no Nido server. If you turn on iCloud sync, your data is also kept in your own private iCloud account so your iPhone and iPad stay in step. Nobody at Nido can see it. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

How do I delete all my data?

Delete the Nido app from your device: everything it stored goes with it. If iCloud sync was on, also remove the synced copy in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage (or Storage) → Nido → Delete Data. If you shared your pregnancy, stop sharing in Nido first so your partner no longer has access.

Are reminders sent from a server?

No. Appointment reminders are local notifications: your device schedules them itself, and nothing about your appointments leaves it. Make sure notifications are allowed for Nido in your device's Settings.

Partner sharing

How does partner sharing work?

You invite one person — your partner, your sister, whoever you choose — from Nido's Settings. The invitation goes through iCloud, the same way you share a note or a folder. Once they accept, they follow your pregnancy and your appointments on their own phone, and see changes as you make them. You can stop sharing at any time.

What does my partner need?

An iPhone or iPad with the Nido app installed and signed in to iCloud. Their access is read-only: they can see everything you share but can't change your dates, appointments or settings.

Does my partner need to pay?

No. Partner sharing is part of your Nido Plus subscription, and it covers the person you share with. They don't buy anything, and they get the shared pregnancy, a widget and the Live Activity.

Nido Plus

What is free, and what does Nido Plus add?

Free: the full timeline, week tracking and up to three upcoming appointments with a standard reminder.

Nido Plus adds:

Nido Plus is a subscription, paid monthly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with a free week for new subscribers.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Tap Nido Plus, then tap Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from Nido: Settings → Manage subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next one. You keep Nido Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. If you cancel during the free week, you won't be charged.

How do I restore a purchase?

On a new device, or after reinstalling, open Nido → Settings → Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.

Health

Why doesn't Nido give medical advice?

Because every pregnancy is different, and only the people caring for you know yours. Nido is a calendar and an organiser for dates you already know. Its week-by-week notes are general information. For any question about your health or your baby's, call your midwife or doctor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
